WHO IS MONETTE? | Monette's Uptown Home Daycare

For six years, Monette has been a nanny and even though her experience in other areas such as a legal secretary and business owner would afford her many opportunities, caring for children has always been what makes her happy and it is her passion.

Over the years, she has happy memories of many families who welcomed her assistance.

She became an important part of each family she worked for.

Monette is a mother too, of two children, now grown and she is very proud to say they are on a successful path to the future.

Monette knows she has been a positive influence in the developmental years of many young children and she has been given the utmost of appreciation felt by all those parents for whom she has worked.

To me, as a home daycare provider, I wanted to find a way to convey that this is more than just a job to me.

This is my career and my dream - my calling, you might say. I am deeply committed to providing the best possible care to the children I have been entrusted to care for.

These are your children, you love them more than anything. As a home daycare provider I recognize my essential role in the lives of parents and their children. Both you as parents and myself as the home daycare provider, we share the common goal to raise your children well.

I do not want to be seen as a replacement for parents, but rather as part of a parents dedicated resources, to ensure your children have the best opportunities in life, starting with the early years as a toddler.

With this deep and heartfelt commitment, I thought an oath, even though a little old fashioned might be a way to show this.

My purpose is to love, nurture and in a meaningful way help develop the cognitive abilities and the imagination, through play for the toddlers entrusted to my care.
My good decisions will affect the well-being of children under my care now and well into all their future endeavours.

Therefore, in my home daycare provider's oath, I promise that:

I will care for these children with love and attention, and I will continue to uphold my high standards to the best of my ability, using the skills, training and experience in doing what is right for these children and always keep their safety and well being as my highest priority.
